Byrhonda Lyons is an art appraiser and founder of Lyons Fine Arts Appraisals, based in the Bay Area. She has completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course and the Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program (CASP) through the Appraisers Association of America, underscoring her commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.

An avid collector, Byrhonda has a particular interest in African American art. Byrhonda has worked at Hearne Fine Art for three years, assisting with appraisal research, planning exhibitions,  marketing and outreach.
 
Byrhonda holds a master's degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and brings a distinguished background in investigative reporting to her appraisal work. Her experience as an investigative reporter — including coverage of California courts and law enforcement  — has honed her writing and research skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities. These qualities are essential for thorough and reliable art valuation.
